In Canada, the bowling industry journey began with Mendes in 1964. Mendes produced its first Duckpin pinsetter in 1974, the Model 201, available in Duckpin, Tenpin, Fivepin, and Bowlingo versions.

Several versions and models followed (500, 201, 501, 901, ...). The next string pinsetter, the ME-90, arrived in 1988 in Duckpin, Tenpin, Fivepin, Hardduck, Bowlingo, and Bowlingo Junior versions.

The large pin (Tenpin) pinsetter MM-2001/MAG-3 was introduced in 1995. The TMS string pinsetter arrived in 2002. Mendes became Fenix in 2000 and was subsequently acquired by Qubica in 2003, and of course, we know the rest: QubicaAMF.
