Mendes

In Canada, the bowling began with Mendes, who started their journey in 1964.

In 1974, Mendes introduced its first Duckpin pinsetter, the model 201, which was available in Duckpin, Tenpin, Fivepin, and Bowlingo versions.

In 1988, the ME-90 string pinsetter was launched, available in Duckpin, Tenpin, Fivepin, Hardduck, Bowlingo, and Bowlingo Junior versions.

The MM-2001/MAG-3 Tenpin pinsetter was introduced in 1995.

The TMS string pinsetter came out in 2002.

Mendes rebranded as Fenix in 2000 and was acquired by Qubica in 2003, leading to the formation of QubicaAMF.

Mendes Inc. was a significant player in the bowling and coin-op industries, known for their innovative Bowlingo system, a coin-operated 10-pin bowling setup designed for families and players of all skill levels. They also created the Bowlingo Junior, specifically for children. After being acquired by Qubica in 2003, the company became part of QubicaAMF.
